When I first began helping produce the AirshowStuff Magazine, we quickly learned that plain text titles for our articles was amateurish and boring. I took it upon myself to make it a monthly project to design and place sharp, attention-getting titles to the articles in each new edition of our periodical. The quality of our product was immediately improved and communicated a professional and thoughtful tone of who we were and the work we produced.
I personally loved the challenge each month to take articles I hadn't written or read before and create themed and significant visuals to title them. While we no longer practice article title design following our switch to a blog-style digital format, it remains one of my prouder accomplishments and contributions to the magazine's success.
