The design was built utilizing South Salish creative elements to connect the shop to the overall 7 Cedars brand.
Traditionally, brands for the property have been complex designs by Salish artists that, while beautiful and representational, are too complex to scale down and remain recognizable. For this project, I was tasked with incorporating a Salish style but modernized and more minimalistic. As I am not trained in Pacific Northwest Coastal Native American styles, I did my best to incorporate the basic practice of ovoid shapes and split U-shape.
